LOCO in The Grand Gelinaz

For three days, 40 chefs will change their lives and restaurants. It is the second edition of The Grand Gelinaz, which this time includes two national names: José Avillez, Belcanto and our Alexandre Silva, LOCO.

It is one of the most challenging and important initiatives in world cuisine, curated by Andrea Petrini, Italian journalist and writer, “creator of cooking stars,” according to Time. 60 chefs from around the world – including Massimo Bottura, Osteria Francescana (1st from the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list and three Michelin stars), Alex Atala from the DOM in São Paulo (11th and 2 Michelin stars), or René Redzepi, from Noma in Copenhagen (5th and 2 Michelin stars) – they switch from restaurant to restaurant for a unique dinner on five continents! After a draw, each chef was transformed into an intruder, into a squatter! They will not only take care of their host’s restaurant (which will be absent, do the same anywhere else) or head the respective team. They will move their arms and luggage to each others home, live with each others family, give good days to neighbors, walk each others dog. LOCO’s squatter is a surprise, of course, and will only be unveiled on the night of November 10, when everything, but literally everything, can happen. It will be a kind of blind date until the last minute.

And Alexandre will not do it for less: in another part of the globe, he will create eight new dishes with local ingredients (and usual in that restaurant) and share them with people he has never seen!

Tickets for LOCO are already sold out – this is an initiative no one wants to miss and, welcoming you to our restaurant leaves us so happy and enthusiastic. And no, it’s not because we see our chef from behind.
