JP came to cook at LOCO

It was on May 17th that Alexandre Silva held another 4-Hands Dinner, this time with JP McMahon, founder of Food on the Edge, one of the largest gastronomic symposiums in the world, in Ireland.

Our chef has always seen JP McMahon as “a cook who stirs the waters, which meets our philosophy”. The director of the EatGalway Restaurant Group which owns the restaurants Aniar, Cava Bodega and Eat Gastropub is intrinsically involved in educational and ethical issues surrounding food and runs the Aniar Boutique Cookery School, so he is considered as one of the ambassadors of Irish cuisine.

“The connection to the nature of JP and the respect he has for the world around him interests us very much”, once he was invited to get to know LOCO’s cuisine and also to present some creations to the national public. The sharing of techniques, references and universes of the two cooks was undoubtedly an added value, which was felt at the table, and that will remain in the memory of those who were present.

Throughout 2017, Alexandre Silva will continue to receive cooks from all over the world, giving us the opportunity to look at what is best done inside and outside national doors.
